Pending 420,000 SF Industrial Facility in Pocahontas, AR!

[Pocahontas, Ark., August 29, 2024] — Haag Brown Commercial’s Industrial Division is thrilled to announce that a 420,000 square foot industrial facility in Pocahontas, Arkansas, is pending sale! Tate Industries, a leader in the design and production of advanced raised access flooring, airflow optimization, and infrastructure systems for commercial and data center environments, is set to occupy the facility.

The 420,000 square foot facility sits on 37 acres on Hwy 304, approximately 1/2 Mile east of Hwy 67 and two miles west of the future I-57. The quantity of thriving industrial activity in the surrounding area, coupled with the convenience and accessibility of the site’s location, presents a range of support for healthy and sustainable facility operations for the company.

“I am proud of our Industrial division, but Jeff Armstrong specifically. He was able to be involved with many talented and motivated people including the mayor, city council, AEDC, etc… Getting a deal of this magnitude done so quickly is rare and it wouldn’t have happened without a lot of people who took it personally. When we listed the building in February, this facility was the largest industrial manufacturing building available in the state of Arkansas and six months later it was pending.” – Joshua Brown, Co-Founder of Haag Brown Commercial

Initially settled in the 19th century as a hub for lumber production, Pocahontas has gradually diversified beyond timber to include manufacturing, agriculture, poultry processing, and tourism. The city’s manufacturing sector has continued flourishing, with industries ranging from automotive parts to textiles.

The arrival of Tate Industries marks a major milestone for the Pocahontas community as it recognizes the city’s growing prominence in the region’s industrial landscape and will create over 140 new jobs to boost the local economy.

Tate plans to use the property to house its innovative operations focused on fabricating steel frames for data centers, as well as partner with the adjacent Black River Technical College to underscore its commitment to fostering local talent and innovation.

The Arkansas Economic Development Commission (AEDC), Northeast Arkansas Regional Intermodal Authority, and the City of Pocahontas were instrumental in securing this pivotal agreement, finalized in August 2024. The deal is expected to close in Q4 of this year and Tate plans to be fully operational by the second half of 2025.

In the release, Governor Sara Huckabee Sanders praised the achievement, stating, “When Arkansas’ state, county, and local governments are all on the same page, we can beat out competition and secure investments like Tate’s time and time again. Thank you to Tate for choosing Pocahontas. In my administration, we’ll keep working to cut taxes and slash red tape to make our state even more competitive.”

Haag Brown Commercial congratulates the city on this incredible achievement and is proud to have played a role in making it happen. This is more than just a sale—it’s a win for the entire community, bringing new opportunities, partnerships, and a promising future for the city’s progress.
